Jerrel Paul Lawrence, 55, of Baytown, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, with his loving family at his side. He was born in Baytown on March 29, 1961, to Roy Jackson Lawrence and Eugenia Cone Lawrence. Jerrel proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He worked in security and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the Disabled Veterans Association. Jerrel was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Jerrel is preceded in death by his father, Roy Jackson Lawrence. He is survived by his mother, Eugenia Lawrence of Baytown; brothers, Royce Lawrence and wife, Robyn, of Texas, Jayme Lawrence and wife, Karen, of Baytown and Darrell Lawrence, of Baytown; sister, Jana Hornberger and husband, Fred, of Victoria, Texas; and numerous friends and family members who will miss him.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 5, 2016, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A celebration of Jerrel’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, in the Chapel of Crespo & Jirrels, with Evangelist Zeke Flores of Eastside Church of Christ officiating.
