Scotty was killed in a car accident. While crossing a train track, the driver of the car lost control, and crossed into oncoming traffic. The car that Scott was in was struck on the passenger side where Scott was sitting.
After Scotty's death George Jeffrey took his son and his parents and fled Tennessee, to Canada, out of reach of the United State's law enforcement.
Scott left behind his mother, Norma (Trottier) Jeffrey, his older brother Guy Jeffrey, his uncle Norman Trottier, his aunts Claudette Trottier and Jeanette Mason (Trottier) and his grandparents, Armand and Rita (Sareault) Trottier.
