Born on January 11, 1924, at the family home near Fordyce, AR, Alma Louise Rothwell Orman passed away June 15, 2016. One of nine children, her family reunions were huge affairs hosted all around the United States. Alma married Paul Orman June 20, 1943, just before he shipped off to World War II. Our Nanny was a lover of children and animals and protected many of both over the years. If she hadn’t always been so skinny, we would say she was worth her weight in gold.
She is survived by daughter: Barbara Dose and husband Steve; son: Paul Orman II and wife Sherry; beloved grandchildren: Lisa Turner, Leslie Hodkinson, Misty Ristaino, Michelle Harris, Ginger Orman and Trey Orman; and great grandchildren: Jessica Turner, Jayden Hodkinson and Hayden Harris; as well as siblings, cousins and other family too numerous to mention.
