Bob was born in Bair Station on December 19, 1937, and was the son of the late Ray T. and Annamary (Winters) Eisenhart.
He worked in the trucking industry all of his life having driven for D.W. Hassler and Shipley-Humble Trucking and was a farmer for the Sprenkle family in Nashville. He also was an owner-operator for KBS Trucking and Kinard Trucking and was the owner of R.F. Eisenhart Trucking. He recently retired from Kinard Trucking as a dispatcher.
Bob was a member of Saint Paul Lutheran Church in York. He was very active with Thomasville Fire Co. having served as Fire Chief, Engineer, Treasurer, Vice-President and President. He enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting, and riding his motorcycle but he cherished the time he spent with his family.
Our father had a quiet, kind spirit, rare in this day of age. He died doing what he loved to do…. riding his motorcycle. We are sure our Mom was there to greet him with open arms when he entered heaven.
He is survived by his son, Robert F. Eisenhart, Jr. and wife Malinda of Spring Grove; his daughters, Sandra Eisenhart-Seitz and husband Stephen of Red Lion, and Penny Lou Walker and husband David of Hanover; his grandchildren, Jessica Cole and husband Eric, Heather Werner and husband Zach, Lauren Thomas and husband Ryan, Hunter Seitz, and Hannah Eisenhart-Seitz; his great-grandchildren, Autumn, Mya Grace, Jase, Pyper and Harper; his step-grandchildren, Matthew, Joshua and Randy; and his step-great-grandchildren, Elijah, Jett, Jaelynn and one on the way, Abel.
A funeral service in celebration of his life will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York, with Rev. Paul Gausmann officiating. He will be laid to rest following the service next to his wife at St. Paul (Wolf's) Cemetery in York. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service Inc., 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove, and on Friday from 10-11 a.m. in the parlor at Saint Paul Lutheran Church.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Saint Paul Lutheran Church, 250 Trinity Rd., York PA 17408; or Thomasville Fire Co., 5187 Lincoln Highway West, Thomasville, PA 17364.
