Jessica R. Slaby, 38, of Coal Township, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2016.
Born in Shamokin Jan. 2, 1978, she was a daughter of Robert M. and Judy (Jones) Slaby of Kulpmont.
She was a 1996 graduate of Mount Carmel Area High School and received an associate's degree in advertising art from Penn College in Williamsport.
Jessica loved to spend time with her daughter, the love of her life, and enjoyed gardening.
She was a member of the Church of the Holy Angels, Kulpmont.
In addition to her parents, Bob and Judy Slaby, of Kulpmont, she is survived by a brother, Robert Slaby, of Coal Township; a daughter, Pamela Slaby, of Kulpmont; a great-aunt Ruth of, Coal Township; her special friend, Matt Bednar, of Shamokin, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela R. Slaby, on Oct. 17, 1992, as well as her maternal grandmother, Ethel Jones, on March 3, 2013.
She was loved and will be missed. Fly high with our other angels, find comfort and peace.
Funeral Mass will be held 12 p.m. Monday, in the Church of the Holy Angels, 855 Scott Street, Kulpmont, with Father Andrew Stahmer, officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Kulpmont. Viewing will be held from 9:30 to 11:45 a.m. Monday with transferal prayers at 11 a.m. in the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home, Inc., 1053 Chestnut Street, Kulpmont, C.J. Lucas, supervisor.
