Gerda Helene Kramer
Gerda Kramer passed away peacefully with her family at her side at The village of Riverside Glen in her 95th year on June 6, 2021 Beloved wife of Roman Kramer and loving Mother of Norm Salian and Berj Salian (Veronica). Predeceased by her parents Heinz & Anne Gosau, daughters Silvia & Carmen, sister Elli, brothers Heinz & Walter, and by her first husband Oshin Salian. Cherished Grandma (Oma) to Paloma (Kevin), Daniel (Melanie), Jennifer, Tanya, Laura & Joshua. Much loved Great - Grandma of Oscar, Diego, Emily & Jacob. Gerda grew up in Berlin, Germany. Gerda travelled extensively with dance groups to many places to entertain and when in Theran she met Oshin in Lebanon. They married and raised their children. In 1969 the family immigrated to Canada settling in Guelph. Gerda met Roman and they married in 1988 and she spent many happy years in Georgetown, Ontario. Gerda worked various Jobs and for many years worked at St Joseph's hospital. After she retired they travelled extensively and visited friends and family in Germany, Switzerland and across Canada. She lived a long and adventurous life with an open mind and a joyous heart. She was known as an elegant dresser with a distinct style, an excellent cook with an international repertoire of cuisine. Gerda will be remembered by her many relatives and friends in Germany Lebanon and Switzerland. Our family would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Village of Riverside Glen for their compassionate care and support. A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday June 12, 2021 at 11:00 am, at Jones Funeral Home Georgetown. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
