Sergeant Major Earl B. Stehly Jr., U.S. Army retired, of Willingboro died Saturday, July 9, 2016 at CareOne at Moorestown. He was 88.

He was U.S. Army veteran who retired after 29 years. He served in Korea and Vietnam.

He spent the next 50 years traveling the world with his favorite companion, his wife, Hedy.

Earl enjoyed gardening, travel, stamps, his family, and he was very knowledgable about many things.

He was the father of the late Dr. Guy R. Stehly.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Hedy (Hayashi) Stehly; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Alan Stehly (Diane), Richard Stehly (Lorraine) and Kathy Stehly; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Jennifer Polino (A. Richard), Elaine Becker (James), and Gail Marcinczyk (Lonny); ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry and Kenneth Stehly; three sisters, Annette, Judy and Lucy; and other relatives and friends.

Relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday morning, at the Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home, 212 Levitt Pkwy., Willingboro, N.J. Entombment with full U.S. Army honors will be held in Odd Fellows Cemetery Mausoleum, Burlington, N.J.Goes-Scolieri Funeral Home,212 Levitt Pkwy.,
Willingboro.
