(1943-2010)
GERMANTOWN -- Norma McDowell Arthur, 66, of Dover died Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born on May 19, 1943, to the late Marion Francis and Audrey Patterson McDowell.
Mrs. Arthur was a member of Dover Christian Church. Before retiring she had worked as a nurse's aid.
She is survived by her husband, George Arthur; her children, Billy Arthur of Fleming County, David (Denette) Arthur of Dover, Scott (Donna) Arthur of Dover, Sue (Kevin) Wallingford of Lewis County and Debbie (Barry) Craycraft of Orangeburg; one sister, Mable Hardy of California; and a brother, Bobby McDowell of Flemingsburg.
She was preceded in death by two children, Jeffrey and Mark Arthur; and a brother, Eddie McDowell.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, at Dover Christian Church.
