Mary Alice (Barnhart) Wiant passed away on July 13, 2016. Born July 26, 1940, to Rainey and Olive Barnhart in Pueblo, Colo. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rainey “Buddy” Barnhart Jr. and William “Billy” Barnhart; and her in-laws, Delbert a nd Geneva Wiant. Mary is survived by her husband of 60 years, Delbert “Gene” Wiant; her children, Debbie Bieker, Diana Rae Wiant, Darla Sue (Matt) Oreskovich and Brian (Gina) Wiant; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Mary was a homemaker for most of her life with a few years working for the school district as a “lunch lady.” She was a member of the Eagles and she was on a bowling league for many years. She loved music, going to concerts and dances. Mary had a passion for cooking, baking and the Food Network cooking shows, as well as her favorite, QVC.
She taught her granddaughters to shop. She enjoyed her Christian Women’s group, and attended monthly luncheons. She had a desire to travel and loved going to Cripple Creek.
She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.
Saturday, July 16, at Park Hill Christian Church, 1401 E. Seventh St., Pueblo, CO 81001.
