Funeral services for Erwin Henry Diers, 75, of Aspermont, were held Saturday, June 18, 1983 in Faith Lutheran Church in Sagerton. Rev. Tommy Sparks, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Old Glory Cemetery directed by McCoy Funeral Home of Aspermont. Mr. Diers died at 3:13 Thursday, June 16, 1983, in Stonewall Memorial Hospital in Aspermont.
Born June 30, 1907, in Old Glory, he married Edna Hahn, November 24, 1931 in Sagerton. A lifelong Stonewall County resident, he was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles of Sagerton and Stanley of Tioga; a daughter, Helena Ruth Cox of Austin; a brother, W. H. of Stamford; a sister, Mrs. Ella Druesedow of Stamford; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Alden Lowack, Beaty Bryant, Melvin Baitz, Leon Stegemoeller, Bill Hertel and George McCoy.
