William was born in Chicago until his mother moved to Seattle, where they lived until he enlisted in the US Marines 7 July 1965, at a Seattle Recruiting Office.
Upon arriving in Vietnam William was assigned to Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine
Regiment, 3rd Marine Division. The company was on a patrol in the vicinity of Chu Lai when William was shot on the chest by a sniper at approximately 0635H. He was med evac and later died at the Station Hospital in Danang, at approximately 1115H, May 4th as a result of the gunshot wound to the chest.
Tour of duty unknown. William was single.
Survived by his mother, Catherine Siemers of 118 N 42nd St, Seattle, Washington and his father, William W Denhoff of address unknown.
