Mrs. Sophie Wielinski, 61, of 316 Austin St., died today in Flower Hospital after a 6-month illness.
She was a lifelong resident of Toledo, helped organize the St. Hedwig's Church Parent-Teachers Association and was first president of that group. She also was a member of St. Hedwig's Sewing Club.
Surviving are her husband, Walter, Sr., retired fire lieutenant; son, Walter, Jr.; daughter, Mrs. Mildred Karpanty, Toledo; brothers, Peter and Stanley Kaminski, all of Toledo and Sigmund Kaminski, Detroit; sisters, Mrs. Gabrielle Waterfield and Miss Elizabeth Kaminski, both of Toledo, and Mrs. Eleanor Briskey, Waldron, Mich., and 3 grandchildren.
Services will be Monday at 9 a.m. in St. Hedwig's Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
PTA members will recite the Rosary today at 7 p.m. in the Frank Gasiorows ki Mortuary.
