Bonnie Elizabeth (Snyder) Schmadeke Bio.

Bonnie Elizabeth (Snyder) Schmadeke was born on 26 Dec 1926 to Nan Dorothy (Crane) Snyder and Buckley Monroe Snyder aka Robert M Dupes in Escalon, San Joaquin, California. She passed away peacefully on 11 May 2015 in her 88th year, surrounded by her loving family, in Glendale, Maricopa Co., Arizona.

As a child, Bonnie and her family made their home in California, and Arizona. Upon graduating from Modesto High School in Modesto, Stanislaus, California she met Harland Alvin Schmadeke. They were working at Helm Chevrolet in Modesto & met there. Their first date was at a roller skating rink. They married 21 Nov 1945 & gave birth to two daughters. Their first daughter, Diana Lynn, was born in 1947 and a second daughter, Linda Lee was born in 1949. They lived in a number of states over their married years including: AK, OR, NV, TX, GA, MD & NY.

Harland preceded Bonnie in death after 58 years of marriage. Bonnie was also preceded in death by brothers John Wesley Snyder and Bill Monroe Snyder. Bonnie and her brothers were very close from childhood through adulthood.

Bonnie’s children had children and her grandchildren had children. At the time of her death, she had 5 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. She cherished them and they adored her. Bonnie and husband Harland loved to camp and travel. During the course of their marriage, they visited 49 states. Bonnie was also known for her baking. She was particularly recognized for her apple pies and cookies of all kinds. She loved life, was a valued friend and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
