Lillie E. (Ruff) Holst, 92, Spearfish, died Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, at the Spearfish Senior Care Center in Spearfish.
Funeral services will be Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at the Vale Lutheran Church in Vale with Pastor Michael Fox officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche.
Lillie was born Feb. 7, 1914 to Alexander and Elizabeth (Kaufman) Meyer at Tructon, Colo., She attended grade school in Colorado and Nebraska and attended high school in Nisland, S.D.
She was married to Dave Ruff on Aug. 9, 1930 in Belle Fourche. He passed away in 1963. She then married Vernon Stanford Holst on Feb. 14, 1968 in Spearfish. He passed away in October of 2003.
Lillie loved flowers and her garden.
She was a member of the Vale Lutheran Church in Vale.
Survivors include sons, David (Marian) Ruff, Spearfish, Robert (Carolyn) Ruff, Vale, John (Patricia) Ruff, Lorena, Texas; daughters, Helen (George) Erk, Newell, Dolores Moore, Simi Valley, Calif., brother, John Meyer, Huntington Beach, Calif; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and seven great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, five brothers, Alex, Fred, George, Dave and William; three sisters, Pauline, Leah and Martha: one grandson, Robert Joel Ruff.
