Scott Ethan Freudenberg, 52, ( Feb. 1, 1964- Aug. 4, 2016), a lifelong resident of Newburgh, IN died in Deaconess Gateway Hospital of a blood clot on Thursday, August 4, 2016. Scott was born to Dr. Charles and Delores (Schmidt) Freudenberg in Evansville, IN.

Scott was happily married to Kim (Greenwell) for 22 1/2 years. Together they had two daughters, Evelyn Rene Freudenberg and Trisha Lee Freudenberg that also reside in Newburgh, IN.

Scott graduated from Castle High School with the class of 1982 and was an Eagle Scout. He received his Associate's Degree from Vincennes University in Diesel Mechanics and worked for the past 25 years at Evansville Brake Supply. He worked in the hydraulic pump shop and then the hydraulic test bench.

Scott will always be remembered for his huge heart and deep love of his family and friends. Scott loved 4-H and spent 10 years as a 4-Her and then continued to serve as a volunteer on the Warrick County 4-H Center Board of Directors. He loved setting up the fair and taking care of the arena. Scott loved hunting with his friends using his crossbow, guns and Argo. Scott could fix anything and was the ‘go to’ guy if you ever needed something fixed.

Scott’s loyalty and love to his family and friends will be deeply missed. Scott had a personal relationship with Christ and his family rejoices in knowing that they will see him again in heaven.

Scott is also survived by his parents, his brother, Keith Freudenberg of Newburgh, his sister, Jana Witte (Freudenberg) and husband Mike of Wilkinson, IN, nieces, Annalee Witte, Isabella Witte and nephews, Evan Witte and Nick Witte. He also left behind many relatives from Kim’s side of the family.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Mary Evelyn Greenwell, grandparents, Wilbur and Norma Freudenberg, and George and Clara Schmidt.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Monday August 8, 2016, at Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, 1811 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN, with Pastor Thomas Wenig presiding. Burial will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, 1925 Volkman Rd., Evansville, IN.

Visitation will be 3 to 8p.m., Sunday, at Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Simpson Chapel, 510 W. Jennings St., Newburgh, Ind., (812) 853-8314. And 10 a.m. to service time Monday at the church.
