OBIT- 30 May 1930 OCONOMOWOC ENTERPRISE, Oconomowoc, Waukesha Co, Wisconsin
Mrs Johanna Neuman, nee Ziemer, wife of William Neuman, passed from this life on Wednesday evening, 21 May at nine o'clock, aged 65 years and 19 days. The deceased was born in Town of Ashippun on 2 May 1865. In early infancy she was baptized, and after being thoroughly grounded in the Christian doctrine she was confirmed in the faith of the Lutheran church. On 22 November 1885, she was united in holy wedlock to William Neuman, her now bereaved husband. This union was blessed with one daughter, Mrs A.E. Pagenkopf, and one son, Edwin Neuman. Mrs Neuman was a kind and loving wife and mother, and her death is a sad bereavement for those who were near and dear to her. She was a woman of sterling worth and character, loved and esteemed by her many acquaintances. Her home was at all times a most hospitable one, all who visited there being made to feel what genuine hospitality and real friendship is. She will be missed by her many friends and all will join us in extending to the bereaved husband and children was well as to other surviving relatives our sincere sympathy.
The funeral was held Saturday afternoon from St John's Lutheran church, the Rev F.E. Nammacher, pastor of the deceased, and the Rev Theo. Eggers of Lebanon conducting the services. The W.L. mixed quartet rendered two selections. The floral offerings were beautiful. The pallbearers were Alex and Fred Krubsack, Ernest and Frank Krubsack, Leonard Maas and Alvin Voigt. She is survived by her aged husband, the two children, two grandchildren, three brothers, one sister, and a host of distant relatives and friends.
