He was born Jan. 2, 1922, in Culbertson, Neb., a son of J.G. and Katherine Frank. He moved with his parents an an infant to a farm in the Laurel area. He received elementary education in Laurel. They then moved to Billings, where he attended high school and then attended Montana State College in Bozeman for one year.
On Dec. 7, 1946, he married Eleanor Ostermiller in Laurel. After their marriage, they farmed west of Billings for several years. In 1958, they bought a farm in the Joliet area and operated it for 30 years. He retired in 1988 and they moved to Billings. He enjoyed camping and traveling. He was a member of Pilgrim Congregational Church and A.A.R.P.
Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Frank; three daughters, Mrs. Craig (Cheryl) Kovaliski, on MacArthur Ave., Mrs. Vern (Sandra) Haugse of Billings and Mrs. Lon (Janet) Olstad of Laurel; six brothers, George, Ed, Otto, Ted and Robert Frank, all of Billings and Victor Frank of Laurel; four granddaughters, and two grandsons.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, in Pilgrim Congregational Church, 409 S. 36th St. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Closed casket will be at the church.
