He was born June 25, 1958, in Urbana, the son of John E. and Alfrieda H. Saathoff Osterbur.
He married Jane Armstrong in 1982.
Mr. Osterbur was a Springfield resident for eight years.
He was a certified public accountant and controller for Mueller Distributing for several years.
He was a member of Laurel United Methodist Church, Elks Lodge 15, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Survivors: wife, Jane A.; two daughters; parents, John E. and Alfrieda H. Osterbur; two sisters, Janet Osterbur of St. Joseph and Mrs. Rick (Jane) Clark of Homer; several aunts and uncles; one niece; two nephews; and several cousins.
Services: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Laurel United Methodist Church, the Rev. John Hamilton officiating.
