Dale Leroy Koopmann, 72, Nevada, MO passed away on August 14, 2016 at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Dale was born June 29, 1944 to Fritz and Leola (Breiburth) Koopmann in Deerfield, MO where he spent most of his childhood and early adult life. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1962. For many years he operated Koopmann Cattle Company and was later known as " Junk Man" in the Nevada and surrounding areas.

Dale loved his family, his friends, and he enjoyed roaming around the countryside, sipping a cold Pepsi, while buying and selling anything of value. He was an original American picker. Dale was most proud of being baptized on August 3, 2016.
Dale is survived by: his wife, Ginger of the home; one daughter, Samie McCullough (Kris) Nevada; one granddaughter, Kalli McCullough, Nevada; two sisters, a brother, extended family and many special friends in the community.

Funeral services will be 11:00 Saturday, August 20, 2016 in the Ferry Funeral Chapel with Dennis Hancock officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until service time. Interment will follow in the Deerfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to: "NRMC Hospice" or "NRMC Emergency Department" in care of Ferry Funeral Home.
