Pearl was born on May 19, 1919 to Oliver and Jane (Hazen) Casey in Kaukauna, WI. Pearl lived in Kaukauna her entire life. She graduated from St. Mary's School, Kaukauna High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Pearl married her high school classmate Arthur Koehne on September 13, 1952. Together with her husband and sister Daid, she took care of her mother, Jane, until her death.
Pearl was active in her parish of St. Mary's, serving in its Home-School Association. She worked as a helper in the Community Food Center. Pearl was a member of the Kaukauna Community Health Association. As a member of the Holy Cross Parish, Pearl and Art worked in the community Meals on Wheels program. Pearl and Art transported corneas to Froedert Hospital in Milwaukee for the Lion's Club to help the blind.
Pearl and Art were charter members of the Fox Valley Golf Association and were avid golfers. Pearl and Art were also members of the Kaukauna Alumni Association, which one year dedicated the Alumni News to the couple for services rendered during its formative years.
Pearl loved reading, playing bridge, swimming, watching Jeopardy and completing the "Word Power" column in Readers' Digest. She was an adventurous cook who used her children as guinea pigs to taste meals. She loved to travel. After retirement Pearl and Art traveled extensively throughout the US, Europe and Asia.
Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, ten brothers and sisters and her husband Art who died in 2013.
Pearl is survived by three daughters, Mary (Ken) Schumann, Jane (Steve Vuchetich) Koehne, and Nan (David MacArthur) Luedke; and her three exceptional grandsons, Matt Schumann, Carl Schumann and Brett Luedke.
