Gwendolyn R. Plamann, age 77, of Grand Chute, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2008, at Appleton Medical Center. Gwen was born on July 19, 1931, in Weyauwega, to the late Myron and Rose Stillman Testin. She graduated from Hortonville High School in 1949 and married Kenneth Plamann on May 26, 1951, in the Town of Freedom.

Gwen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a longtime member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Freedom. She was a licensed realtor and practiced in this field for many years. Gwen was also an avid bowler, acting as secretary for several leagues over the years. She proudly acted as a poll worker in the Town of Grand Chute for several decades.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Kenneth; her children, Michael Pam Plamann, Green Bay; William Karen Plamann, Milwaukee; Thomas Pamela Plamann, Greenville; Stephen Jane Plamann, Appleton; and Cynthia Rick Loewen, Loretta, Minnesota; her brother, William Bev Testin, Minocqua; her grandchildren, Kara Plamann, Megan Plamann, Megan Paul Wlazlo and their daughter Sophia, Brett Tobin, Taylor Tobin, Melissa Plamann, Lee Plamann, Tim Christina Plamann and their children Malachi and Chloe, Julian Plamann, Michelle Tim Kampo, Andrea Spiegelberg, Jessica Andrew Hose and their son Gavin, Rachel Matt Spang and their son Ryder, Jason Plamann, Amanda Eric Tilderquist and their son Max, Samantha Loewen John Bialozynski, and Cassandra Loewen and her daughter LaRaya; her special nieces and nephew, Jean Tracy Lang and their children Maddie, Ian and Colin; Jody Rich Holmgren, and Jerry Winters, to whom she was loving guardian. She is further survived by her brother-in-law, Le Roy Huebner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Huebner; her brother, Wayne Betty Winters, and special long time friend and classmate Carol Weber.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 15, 2008, at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2749 French Road, Freedom, with Rev. Tim. Glende officiating. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again directly at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in Community Lutheran Cemetery, Freedom. A memorial has been established in her name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at AMC and at Franciscan Care Center AHC for their loving care.
