Fahje, John O. age 59, of Cologne passed away peacefully on Thursday at his residence from cancer. As a young man John attained the rank of Eagle Scout and Pro Deo et Patria. John served in Korea as an airplane mechanic and tank mechanic. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing.
Survived by his loving family: daughter and son-in-law Sonja and Phil Ewert. Grandchildren Benjamin and Emily Ewert. Sister and brother-in-law Evie and Joe Carroll. Brother Martin “Butch" Fahje and partner Sharon Kaufman. Nephew and wife Scott and Barb Carroll. Great niece and nephew Julia and Matthew Carroll.
Funeral service Monday, July 14, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Cologne, MN. Visitation Sunday 5-8 P.M. at the Johnson Funeral Home in Waconia 952-442-2121 and one hour prior to the service at church.
