She married 1) William H. Gripp and after his death in 1878 she married 2) James D. South on 24 December 1890.

Her children were Leander "Lee" Gripp[Nora Hullinger], Walter Gripp[Edith Miller], Annie Elizabeth Gripp, Alva Gripp[Daisy Clark & Laura E. Mills], Thomas Gripp[Olive Duncan]and William D. Gripp.
