Ash Emison was born circa 1753 and was an American Revolutionary War Patriot. He also fought in the War of 1812. He was originally buried in the Old Bailey Cemetery and reinturred in the Georgetown Cemetery. His wife was Mary Mitchell Emison.

Ash Emison was brought to America from Ireland in 1761-1762 at about 10 years old; then lived in Westmoreland Co., PA. Ash Emison served in 1780 with George Rogers Clark.
The Emison's were in the Dry Run and Laves Run area of Scott Co., KY.,
and also bought land on Eagle Creek, Scott Co., KY. in 1799. Ash Emison had 322 ac. on Eagle Creek by 1839. William Emison had 1,225 ac. on Eagle Creek.
