William Frederick Hader is the 6th of 8 children born to Auguste Emilie (nee: Kurbatsch) and Charles Karl Hader. The St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church records in Racine, Wisconsin state his birth name as: Wilhelm Gustav Hader. Growing up he lived on Frank Avenue and Jones Street in Racine. On July 29, 1911, he married Henrietta "Hattie" Nielsen at the home of Hattie's parents on May Street in Racine. From 1910 to 1923, William was a wood worker and worked at J.I. Case Threshing Machine Company. In 1923, William started work with the Racine Department of Public Works and worked as a foreman for many years. William and Hattie did not have children.
