Ludwig Clement Molnoskey, 82, of Gonzales, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2016. He was born Aug. 19, 1934 in Gonzales County, the son of John and Tracy Pekar Molnoskey. He grew up in the Pilgrim area, where his family farmed and graduated from Gonzales High School in 1953.

He served in the U.S. Army. While stationed at Fort Polk, Lou., he met Lucille Fontenot and they were married Nov. 14, 1959.

They moved to Gonzales where he began work with GVEC and retired after 37 years as an electrical inspector. He was a master electrician and owned and operated Molnoskey Electric.

He loved to work, he enjoyed going out with his metal detector, coin collecting and tending his cattle. He was an avid baseball fan. He coached little league and junior league baseball. And most of all spending time with his family especially his beloved grandchildren. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, two sons, three granddaughters, three sisters, and two brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Michelle Studlar; sister, Helen Mercer and brother Joe Molnoskey.

Mass of the resurrection will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 22. Interment will follow at St. James Catholic Cemetery.
