Mrs. Erwin Rieger
VANCOUVER, Wash. - Funeral from Mrs. Erwin (Ruth Putnam) Rieger, 69, will be at 3 p.m. Monday in the Vancouver Funeral Chapel. She died Thursday in a Vancouver hospital.
Born Jan. 5, 1903 in Wauwetosa, Wis., she had been a local resident for 45 years and was the wife of the associate editor of the Columbian, who had been that newspaper's managing editor for many years.
Mrs. Rieger was a member of the YWCA, the American Association of University Women and past president of the Oliver Manuscript Club.
Survivors include her husband and several nieces and nephews.
The family suggests remembrances be contributions to the Heart Fund of the American Cancer Society.
