Mr. Kinner was born in Milan Nov. 27, 1849. His marriage with Miss Lize Rutherford of Rock Island took place Aug. 7, 1869, and she survives with four children: William M. Kinner, Mrs. T. J. Medill, and Miss Henrietta Kinner, Rock Island, and Mrs. Perry E. Beam, Portland, Ore.
For many years Mr. Kinner was a plastering contractor in this city, and at the time of his death he was vice president of the Rock Island Sand & Gravel company. He served two terms as alderman from the Second ward and a term as assistant supervisor. In politics, Mr. Kinner was a democrat, and took an active part in the affairs of his party. He was of the type of men whom a community can ill afford to lose; a good citizen, an upright business man, a devoted husband and father.
The funeral services will be at the home Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. For 30 years Mr. Kinner had been a member of the First Methodist church.
