Virgil Garrett "Sonny" Noell, III, age 18, of Kennesaw, Ga., and formerly of Roanoke, passed away Monday, July 20, 1992. Surviving are his mother, Mildred Altice Noell, Rocky Mount; his father and stepmother, Virgil Garrett, Jr. and Rebecca Noell; two stepsisters, Brooke and Sarah Zipfel, all of Kennesaw, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Elsie Altice, Wirtz; paternal grandmother, Elmira Noell, Roanoke; and a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Friday from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel with Rev. Tom Stocks officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
