JUNIUS PARKS 'DOC' McQUEEN, 80, of Memphis, retired auditor for Union Planters after 47 years, died Sunday at Methodist Hospital. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park. Hinds-Smythe Cosmopolitan Funeral Home has charge. A World War II Army veteran, he was a member of Union Avenue Church of Christ, American Legion Post No. 1, and the Josephine K. Lewis and Peabody Senior Citizens Groups. He was also a member of American Association of Retired Persons, a free-lance musician and former pianist for the Memphis Park Commission's Peabody Senior Citizens Center. McQueen, the husband of Allena P. McQueen, also leaves a son, James Thomas McQueen of Memphis; two sisters, Mrs. Trice M. Manns of Memphis and Mrs. Liddia M . Ashford of Williston, Tenn.; a brother, William C. McQueen of Enterprise, Miss., two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. (Published in The Commercial Appeal, Memphis, TN, on August 14, 1990)
