Is Mary really buried at Friedberg? She doesn't seemed to be listed in the cemetery transcription.
Mary married the widower William Thomas (went by Thomas) Shore (1811-1880) in c1849-1852 at presumably North Carolina though a marriage record for them can't be located. Thomas had ten known children by his first wife, Lydia Chitty (1812-1849), who married 15 Oct 1829 at Friedberg, Stokes (now Forsyth) County, North Carolina. Mary and Thomas were the parents of seven known children, namely:
1. Jonas Amos Shore (1852-1890)
2. Samuel Joshua Shore (1854-1920)
3. George Benjamin Shore (1855-1855)
4. Alson Martin Shore (1856-1874)
5. Lucy Elisabeth Shore Jefferson (1857-1927)
6. Amanda Catherine Shore (1860-1905)
7. Nelson Shore (???-???)
The order of birth of the last child, Nelson, is uncertain.
Mary was listed in the 1870 census, but can't be found in the 1880 census. Did she remarry after Thomas died?
Links to Mary's parents, husband, two of her seven known children and seven of her eight known siblings are included below.
