Elsie Ann Jennings passed away Oct. 29, 2016 at her home in Eden Hill Community in New Braunfels, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, November 5, 2016 at First United Methodist Church, Clifton, TX. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 4, 2016 at Clifton Funeral Home. Burial at Clifton Memorial Park.

She was born Jan. 2, 1915 on a farm near Coryell City, Texas. She lived 101 years, 9 months and 27 days before passing peacefully. She was the 3rd of 8 children born to Earnest and Anne Symank. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Coryell City and finished her public education at Gatesville High School before going to Kings Daughters Hospital in Temple for Nurses Training.

After completing her training she went to San Angelo Texas where she met Marion Dewey Jennings who she married in 1938. She worked at the Clinic Hospital before becoming the Office Nurse for Dr. Charles Englkng until her retirement in 1976. She then moved to Clifton, Texas where she worked part time at Sunset Home before retiring for good.

While in San Angelo she joined Trinity Methodist Church and served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher, choir member and leader of the Women's Society of Christian Service where she was recognized at the Regional and State level for her service to God. She joined 1st United Methodist Church in Clifton where she served in any way she could.

Ann's loving heart, quick wit, and warm smile will be missed by all who knew her. She loved to sing, dance, and do handiwork –– Ann’s quilts and knitted pieces won many awards and are treasured mementos of all of her family and friends who were gifted them.

She and Marion had 2 children, Jimmie Ann Jennings Gause of Swisher, Iowa and Marion Wayne Jennings(Lally) of New Braunfels, Texas. She has 5 grandchildren, Laurie Tieman (John) of New Braunfels, TX, Kathy Gause of Conroe, TX, Susan Long (Craig) of Fort Atkinson, WI., Steven Gause (Kyra) of Omaha, NE, and Lisa Limbaugh (Ed) of Spring, TX. She has 7 great grandchildren, Philip Tieman (Trina), Alyssa Tieman, Claire Gause, Spencer Gause, Clark Limbaugh, Mason Limbaugh and Dane Limbaugh, “adopted” granddaughter Annabel Jarry-Reichelt (Stephan) of Madrid, Spain and their children Celestina and Valentina.

She was preceded in death by her parent's, 6 brothers and sisters and her husband Marion. She is survived by her brother Robert Symank of Crooked River Ranch, Terrebone, OR, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
