She was born in Lewisville, Monroe County, Ohio, on Aug. 24, 1924, to Lawrence and Mary Schafer Zwick. She graduated from Elk Rural High School, Harriettsville, in 1943. She had worked at the arsenal in Roy, Utah, during World War II. Pauline had been employed by Cawley & Peoples Funeral Homes for several years. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Church. She was a member of A.A.R.P. and American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 888, of Zanesville. Pauline was a wonderful woman, loved by many, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Penny Kehl Sawyer and husband, Dean, of Glennallen, Alaska; son, Tad A. Kehl and wife, Denise, of Zanesville; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Zwick of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted A. Kehl, on March 25, 2001; they were married on March 23, 1944. She was preceded in death also by a daughter, Tammy; a brother, Donald Ullman; and a sister, Delores (Dee) Wallace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lowell Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home, with Pastor James Fernihough officiating.
