Dalton A. Thompson "Bud" June 4, 1916 - December 30, 2006 Dalton passed on to be with our Lord in Heaven on Dec. 30, 2006. He was born in Christian Co., MO. Trained as a welder and heavy-duty mechanic in Kansas City, MO during WWII. Brought his family out to Yakima, WA in 1947. Worked at Hanford and on Coulee Dam, then moved on to Tacoma, WA in 1951, employed by Strong McDonald Asphalt Paving and Engineers. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, a sister, and third wife Jacqueline. He is survived by his only child Carolyn E. Dyment, four granddaughters, Elaine Baker, Brandy Baker, Karie Boughal (John), Christine Schoepfer (Mark), and seven great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Eagles, Lakewood Elks. and Ephrata Elks. We wish to thank Regency of Tacoma and Franciscan Hospice Team for their compassionate care. Graveside services will be Sat., Jan 6, 2007 at Oakwood Hill Cemetery at 2:00 PM in Tacoma. Services entrusted to Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home.
