Fairview, IL - Ora Allen Keefauver, 89, of 470 Church died at 12:24 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, 2000, in the Methodist Medical Center emergency room.
Born July 19, 1910, in Fiatt to Asa and Effie Abbott Keefauver, he married Eva Mahr on Dec. 24, 1932. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Jimmie of Springfield; one daughter, Esther Keefauver of Fairview; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Charles Keefauver, and two brothers.
A welder for 25 years, he owned and operated Fairview Welding Shop. He retired in 1980. He was a former Fairview fire chief.
He was a member of Cuba Lodge 534, AF&AM.
He was a member of Fiatt Baptist Church in Fiatt.
Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
