CRASH INJURIES CLAIM VICTIM
William Paul Cartwright, 40, 840 E. 8th South, died in a Salt Lake hospital Saturday at 7:20 p.m. from injuries suffered in an automobile-truck accident Dec. 21.
Mr. Cartwright suffered a fractured back and several broken ribs in the mishap, which occurred at 7 a.m. at 5900 S. State. Six other persons also were hurt.
Mr. Cartwright was born Feb. 4 1909, in Salt Lake City, a son of William Ernest and Irene Hall Cartwright. In 1929, he married Helen Angeles in Bountiful.
He had been employed as a boilermaker and steelworker most of his life and was an employee of Riley Stoker agency, 726 S. 34e West.
Survivors include his widow; his mother, Los Angeles; four children, William Pete Cartwright, in the U.S. navy; Richard Ernest, Joan Marie and Donald Paul Cartwright, all of Salt Lake City.
