Fonda Man Died Saturday as Result of Accident
Gerald Keleher Former Pocahontas Resident, Injured in Crash Near Storm Lake

Gerald Keleher of Fonda died in the Swallum hospital at Storm Lake at 5:30 Saturday morning of head injuries he received in an automobile accident near Storm Lake on Tuesday night of last week.

Funeral services were held Monday at 9 o'clock a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic church at Fonda. Rev. Father John Howley of Fonda officiated at the requiem high Mass. Rev. Father Kane of Pomeroy was in the sanctuary. The pallbearers, all cousins of the deceased, were: Robert Miller and Leo Weinhold of Pocahontas, Maurice Forey of Plover, Emmet McCabe of Clare, Donald Elsen of Fort Dodge and Paul Sinnett of Gilmore City.

Gerald Keleher was born December 4, 1915, on a farm near Palmer where his parents still reside. He attended the schools of Palmer and Pomeroy. On November 10, 1933, he was united in marriage to Miss Vera Duden of Palmer, and they made their home near Palmer for a time. Later he was employed at the Donahue Implement Co. of this place. In November of last year he accepted a position as bookkeeper at the Rubendall Implement Co. at Fonda, where he was employed at the time of his death. Besides his wife he is survived by a nine-month old daughter, Jean Ann; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Keleher of near Palmer; three brothers, Cletus, Patrick and James, and a sister [sic] grandfather, Theodore Miller of Pocahontas, and a number of aunts and uncles.
