He was born on June 29, 1932 in Prague, Czech Republic, to the late Vaclav Sykora and Marie Dlouha.
He enjoyed ice skating, sitting on the deck and working in the yard.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Irena Havy and grandson, Cameron Havy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Irena Francova Dlouhy; children, Jane Simons and husband, Tim of Mooresville, Ron Dlouhy and wife, Jane Hamelink of Maryland and John Dlouhy of Maryland; grandchildren, Ella and Jack Simons, Ashley and Brooke Havy.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Cavin-Cook Chapel with Rev. Larry Paulk officiating.
