Edward Ochs
Garden City - Edward Ochs, 74, died Monday at his home after a short illness. Born July 6, 1897, in Russell County, he married Ida Popp Aug. 12, 1917, in Barton County. He was a retired farmer and lived here since 1932.
He was a member of the Christian Church, Garden City.
Survivors include the widow; sons, Leo, Kalvesta; Elmer and Walter, Imperial; Paul, Ulysses; Melvin, Eminence; LeRoy, Mooreland, Okla; daughters, Mrs. Alvera Litzenberger, Mrs. Edna Crase, Mrs. Wilma Guy and Mrs. Leona Hurd, Garden Ceity; Mrs. Lenora Wartman, Pierceville; Mrs. Ruth Mai, Leoti, Mrs. Esther Lewis, Stratton, Colo.; Mrs. Barbara Petr, Amarillo, Tex.; brothers, John and Ray, Hoisington; sister, Amelia Ochs, Hoisington; 45 grandchildren; four great grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church; Rev. Lester Myers officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Garden City. Friends may call until noon Wednesday at the Phillips-White Funeral Home, Garden City.
