Glenn L. Boheman was born on February 18, 1935 in Hampton, Iowa to John and Nettie (Kappel) Boheman. He graduated from Ackley High School.
On July 5, 1957, Glenn was united in marriage to Ruth Lindaman in the East Friesland Presbyterian Church in Ackley.
Glenn was a past member of the Lion’s Club and Rotary. He also served as Mayor of Ackley and was a City Council member. He also served as President of the council at St. John’s U.C.C. where he is a member at.
Glenn was a Carnation Milkman and owned/operated the local Gambles Store.
He loved following his son-in-law and grandkids sporting events, coffee'ing with his friends, playing bridge, traveling to see out of state family, and being a Republican.
Glenn is survived by his wife Ruth; his daughter Krista (Bryce) Smeins of Washington, Iowa and their children Joseph (Tristan) Smeins and Greta Smeins and special friend, Blandon Clemons and his son Mark Boheman of Ackley, Iowa; his granddaughters Amanda (Patrick) Grassley of New Hartford, Iowa and Laura Boheman and her special friend Brad Derner of Milford, Iowa and his great-grandchildren Indee, Reagan and Chancellor Grassley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Frank.
Memorial services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s U.C.C. in Ackley with inurnment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. The Sietsema Funeral Home of Ackley is assisting the family with arrangements.
