Milton Herbert Bretting

Milton H. Bretting, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on December 12, 2016. He was born in Schulenburg, Texas on July 3, 1926 to Herman Bretting and Lydia Laudewig Bretting. He was married for 49 years to Katherine Goebel Bretting. Milton was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1944 and reached the rank of Corporal before being honorably discharged in 1946. He worked as a draftsman for Automatic Power for many years. Milton was a faithful member of Hope Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing golf, and had a passion for spending time with family.
Milton was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Lidia Bretting; brother, Clarence Bretting, and wife, Katherine Bretting.
He is survived by his sister, Olivia Birnbaum and husband Isdell; his son, Harry Havard and wife Gloria, and daughter, Dianne Klam and husband David; grandchildren, Kimberly Orsak and husband Gary, Debra Potts, Kenneth Havard and wife Bonnie, Sherry Williams and husband Randy, Lisa Drews and husband Josh, John Klam and wife Tai; Great Grandchildren, Ashleigh Grape and husband Matthew, Kelsea Locke and husband Bob, Brooke Orsak, Lyssa Havard, Lacey Havard, Nickkie Havard, Cierra Havard, Shawn Brown, Bailey Williams, Jarret Williams, Avery Williams, Wyatt Drews, Zane Drews, Lily Drews, Adale Drews, Kate Klam, Trip Klam, Desiree Rath, Felicia Rath, Kari Maijala, Stephanie Maijala; Great-Great Grandchildren, Jeremy Coborn, Jax Coborn, Reese Grape, Rylie Grape, George Weber III, Bryson Havard, Kayden Craddock, Brice Rath, Angelina Rath, Mariah Mailjala and Mykenna Maijala.
Viewing will be held at Hope Lutheran Church, Friendswood, TX for family and friends on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 9:00-10:00 AM. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30. Interment will follow at Forest Park East Cemetery.
