“LOTTIE” GRUNDMEIER
A funeral service for Charlotte
Elizabeth “Lottie” Grundmeier of
Carroll will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday,
July 10, 1998, at St. Paul Lutheran
Church in Carroll.
Mrs. Grundmeier, 86, of 1830
Martin Ave., died Tuesday, July 7,
1998, at St. Anthony Regional Hospital
in Carroll.
Pastor Steven Stork and vicar
Bruce Miller will officiate the
service. The casket will be moved
to the church at 8:30 a.m.
Casketbearers w ill be Mrs.
Grundmeier’s grandsons: Rob
Grundmeier, Kevin Grundmeier,
Brian Grundmeier, Todd Grundmeier,
Loren Dentlinger and Dale
Wittrock.
Burial will be in Carroll Cemetery.
Friends will call after 5 Thursday
afternoon at Dahn and Woodhouse
Funeral Home in Carroll. There will
be a prayer service at 7:30 Thursday
night at the funeral home.
She was born April 28, 1912, at
Wheatland Township in Carroll
County, a daughter of William Sr.
and Anna (Henricksen) Nobiling.
She and Alvin Grundmeier were
married Jan. 26, 1932, at Zion Lutheran
Church in Arcadia with pastor
Theo Tews officiating.
The Grundmeiers lived on farms
near Westside and Halbur for 40
years until retiring to Carroll in
1972. They celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary in 1982 and
their 60th in 1992.
Mrs. Grundmeier was a home-
maker and nurse’s aide for many
years. A lifelong resident of Carroll
County she was a former member
of Zion Lutheran Church at Arcadia
and a member of St. Paul Lutheran
Church and its Ladies Guild and
sewing circle.
Survivors include two sons:
Robert Grundmeier and his wife,
Betty , of Carroll and Stanley
Grundmeier and his wife, Karen, of
Arcadia; seven grandchildren; eight
great-grandchildren ; two sisters:
Ella Stammer of Manning and Viola
Hill of Schleswig; a brother, Ed
Nobiling, and his wife, Lucille, of
Carroll; and two sisters-in-law: Eva
Nobiling of Westside and Vera Nobiling
of Arcadia.
Mrs. Grundmeier was preceded
in death by her parents, her husband
and three brothers: Elmer, Orville
and William Jr. Nobiling.
