Kevin Michael Gersch, 24, of Jupiter passed away on January 8,2007 after an 8 year struggle with a chronic illness.
Kevin graduated from Jupiter High School in 2001. He graduated magna cum laude from Florida Southern College in 2005 with a degree in public relations and advertising and a minor in business. He worked at Jupiter Crab House as a server.
Kevin touched many lives in his short time with us. A long-time competitive swimmer, he competed in the annual Swim Around Key West, the Loggerhead Triathlon and as a 4 year JHS varsity swimmer, he qualified for the Florida State Championship meet. At JHS, he served as President of the National Honor Society and secretary of his class.
Kevin will be remembered for his wonderful smile, his generous spirit and his determination to fight and beat his illness.
Kevin is survived by his parents, Christopher and Ellen Gersch of Tequesta and his sister Amanda Gersch. He will be greatly missed by his large extended family, including his grandfather, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends and co-workers.
A visitation will be held at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, on Friday, January 12,2007 from 6-8 PM. The funeral Mass will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, Saturday, January 13,2007 at 2 PM.
