Born in Hoheinod, the Palatinate, Germany.
He was probably the son of Hans Andreas Hoh, who was the son of Hans Peter Hoh (b1640), who was the son of Fritz Hoh.

There are several family histories (and county histories) that tell of this family coming from Scotland near the end of the 1600s.

Married Anna Margaretha Keifer.
He was a miller.

Died Feb 24, 1757, Gerhardsbrunn, Palatinate, Germany
Buried Feb 26, 1757, Old Churchyard at Laubach, Germany, abt 2 miles from Gerhardsbrunn.

His wife died in 1775 and was buried in the same cemetery.

According to his death record, they had 12 children. All the boys were given Johann as a first name, and all the girls were given Anna as a first name, which was a common German custom.
