Raymond J. Myszka, 92, Marathon, father of a Stevens Point woman, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2016, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon, with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph Diermeier presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the Mass.

Mr. Myszka was born March 26, 1924, in Athens, a son of the late Jacob and Mary (Nowicki) Myszka.

He was married to Eldora Weisenberger July 10, 1945, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marathon. She died July 24, 2010.

He worked for Crestline in Wausau, The Great A & P Milk Company in Marathon for 17 years and at Green Bay Packaging Co. for 17 years until he retired in 1986. He and his sons also painted many barns in his earlier years.

Survivors include eight children, Janice (James) Buchberger, Marathon, Duane (Suzzett) Myszka and Lyle (Betty) Myszka, all of Marathon, Jerome (Linda) Myszka, California, Donna Mae (James) Martin, Stevens Point, Larry Myszka, Tomahawk, Donald (Lynnette) Myszka, Mosinee, and Linda (Lloyd) Beckman, Wausau; 19 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Myszka and David Myszka; two sisters, Margaret Koskey and Bernice Pinter; and three grandsons.
