Helen S. Nigro, 91 formerly of Liberty St. died Saturday Oct. 7, 2006 at Highland Health Care in Cheshire. She was the wife of the late Angelo J. Nigro.

Born on Jan. 17, 1915 in Matowan NJ, the daughter of the late John and Mary Dubicki. She was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law Anthony and Sandra Nigro of Southington, a sister Josephine Skawinski of Plantsville. 4 grandchildren, Kristen Nigro, Gina Sephan, Richard Salzillo Jr. and Jamie Salzillo 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Maryann Salzillo, 3 brothers, John, Edward and Chester Dubicki and a sister Mary Sliwinski.

The Funeral was held on Tuesday at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, and at St. Thomas Church. Burial was at St. Thomas Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and the entire staff of Highland Health Care and Hospice for all the special care and attention that they gave to Helen.
