Michael E. "Mike" Losch, 57, of Mifflintown Passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey.

Mike was born April 4, 1959 in Harrisburg, the son of Annamae G. (Lengel) Losch of Thompsontown and the late George P. Losch.

He was the husband of Robin Snyder Losch, who survives. His passing breaks a marital union of 12 years.

In addition to his wife and mother, Mike is survived by a daughter and a son-in-law and three sons and a daughter-in-law, Melissa and Brandon McGowan of Shiremanstown, Janson and Erin Losch of Oakland Mills, Joshua Losch of Thompsontown and Max at home; two granddaughters, three brother and sisters-in-law, Re. Dr. Pusey A. and Crystal Losch of Richfield, Stuart M. and Sherrie Losch of Port Royal and George A. and Lori Losch of Thompsontown; two sisters and brother-in-laws, Julie A and Maurice Doherty of Mifflintown and Sarah L. and John Sheaffer of Thompsontown; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Jonathan, Nathaniel and Benjamin Losch, George I. Losch, Jessica Mast and husband Travis. Travis Brubaker and wife Susie, Emily Shaffer, William Carvell, Christopher Carvell, Rebekah Sheaffer, Kayleigh Sheaffer, Nicholas Sheaffer, Blake Snyder and Cole Snyder; and a brother-in-law, Matthew Snyder of Thompsontown.

He was a 1973 graduate of Greenwood High School.

Mike was a self-employed carpet installer. He owned Delaware Creek and Carpet and Video Store, Thompsontown. He was a member of Mountain View Community Church, Richfield and regularly attended Thursday night Discipleship Class and was active with local missions. Mike also sponsored children through Children International, and he loved the outdoors, especially fishing.

A memorial service to celebrate Mike's life was held Friday, December 30 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Thompsontown with his brother Rev. Dr. Pusey A. Losch officiating.

Lewistown Sentinel on Dec. 16, 2016 reported that "According to a press release issued by Lewistown Police Department, preliminary investigation shows Michael E. Losch, 57, of Mifflintown, may have stepped in front of the northbound Greyhound bus, operated by Steven P. Sund, 50, of West Mifflin."
