Morales was shot and killed in a in a parking lot at 1980 N. Main Street. Earlier, in a nearby restaurant, an argument had broken out between two groups exchanging gang signs. Shortly after the altercation, Morales left the restaurant through the parking lot, where the suspects shot him.
