: Elrose was born Jan 13, 1939 to Bertha and John Kirsch of Togo, Saskatchewan. She was raised on the farm and attended school in the Togo District. She married Ben Rothenberger July 9, 1960 in Rhein, Sk.
In 1958 she was employed at the Yorkton Auxilliary Hospital and then later with the new Yorkton Union Hospital. Elrose then joined her husband on the farm. They retired from the farm in 1974 and moved into Yorkton. Elrose worked 25 years at the Yorkdale Junior High School as a custodian. She loved her work and the school was spotless while she was on duty. She passed away November 15, 2002 at the age of 63 years.
