Evelyn Beaty Thomas, loving wife and mother, passed away on March 29, 2014. She was preceded in death by Ralph Waldo "Coach" Thomas, her husband of more than 70 years. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, four daughters, Beverly (Ron) Hyche of Thorsby, AL, Juanita (Richard) Hall of Hoover, AL, Patty (Herschel) Bingham of Jemison, AL, and Sherri (JR) Moehle of Guatemala; twelve grandchildren, Kimberly (Crist) Sperling of Gardendale, AL, Steve (Kristi) Hyche of Thorsby, AL, Amy (Shannon) Porter and Debbie (Shawn) Knowles of Jemison, AL, Jennifer (Frank) Amnott of Dallas, TX, Michael (Amanda) Moehle of Pensacola, FL, and Jonathan, Daniel, Thomas, Evelyn, Elisabeth and Julia Moehle of Guatemala; seven great-grandchildren, Claire Clemmons, Tuscaloosa, AL, Baileigh Hyche of Thorsby, Al, Abigail and Sophie Porter, Kelcie, Dylan, and Bella Knowles of Jemison, AL; three step-great-grandchildren, Ben Sperling and Sally LaRue of Birmingham, AL, and Samantha Childers Hyche of Thorsby; also two sisters, Julia Stowe of Hoover, AL and Sarah Tuck of Nashville, TN; and two brothers, C.H. Beaty (Nena) of Nashville, TN and Tom Beaty (Kay) of Opelika, AL. The family will greet friends from 2-3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Ridout's Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Pelham, AL, immediately followed by the 3 p.m. graveside service at Southern Heritage Cemetery, Pelham. Dr. Jim Auchmuty will officiate.
